Abstract
The Free University Berlin offers the first online course in the world focused on Eastern Europe. This Master’s course imparts specific knowledge about a region which has become much more important in political and economic terms in the course of European integration. The course has an interdisciplinary structure, which enables the students to think in an interconnected way and promotes competences that are relevant to practical professional life.
