Abstract
Scientific research on Poland in Germany is not in good shape. The accusation often made by the Polish side that Germany is doing nothing to reduce the asymmetry in mutual perception is at any rate reflected in poorly institutionalised scientific Polish expertise at German universities and non-university institutes.
