On the Death of Alexander Steininger

Abstract
Dr. Alexander Steininger died at the age of 77 on 18 July 2007. In 1962 Steininger joined the editorial staff of Osteuropa, which he headed from 1975 to 2002. During this time, Eastern Europe became an important forum for East-West dialogue. We document the speech of Manfred Sapper at the funeral service in Aachen on 27 July 2007.
