Marianne Allweiss, Helena Truchla
Deutsche Fassung
Abstract
Foreign correspondents Marianne Allweiss (ARD, Prague) and Helena Truchla (Česká televize, Berlin) analyse the interplay between their lives in the neighbouring country and their work; they reveal how they free themselves from a tunnel-vision focus on the capital; they shed light on the journalistic value of clichés; and they explain why, for some people in the Czech Republic, Germany is a ‘failed state’ and why Bavaria is quite a special place.
