Abstract
Electricity and heat are essential for the survival of a society. Therefore, Russia is attacking Ukraine’s energy system. Moscow’s missiles and drones are destroying the facilities, but the consequences of the bombardment are particularly severe, because corruption in Ukraine undermines the ability to prevent the attacks and quickly repair the damage.
