Abstract
The war between Russia and Ukraine has led to a rapid acceleration of the arms race. Development in the field of drones is particularly rapid. Both sides are capturing and imitating each other’s unmanned systems. Every technological advantage is therefore lost within a few months at the latest. NATO countries are not under a comparable pressure to innovate. If they do not want to fall even further behind Russia in drone technology, they must learn quickly from Ukraine.
